Al-Anon Participation

Al-Anon has been an integral part of Fellowship of the Spirit from the beginning. Al-Anon members attend the conference each year, some accompanying the recovering alcoholics in their lives, many attending by themselves or with other Al-Anon members.

At past conferences, we had Al-Anon participation in the Step workshop panels that are the core of the conference program. One of the conference's five main speakers is an Al-Anon member with a powerful message of recovery.

"Each Al-Anon Family Group has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps of AA ourselves, by encouraging and understanding our alcoholic relatives, and by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics." - Tradition Five
